At present the Krasnoyarsk region lacks suppliers of the equipment used for the control and
monitoring of heat (in the form of hot water or steam) supplied to industrial premises or dwelling
houses. Such systems are widely used in the West but have only recently been recognized as an
important power-saving technology in Russia only recently. The Administration of Krasnoyarsk Region
strongly supports the introduction of these units, which will help it implement its energy efficiency
policy. Installation of these units energy can produce energy savings of 30%.
Cost
Total cost of the project is £368,912. The DTI is contributing £200,000.
