Title

Expansion of the cabinet furniture production.

Objectives

In the framework of the project it is planned to undertake refurbishment of the premises, purchase additional equipment and starting a new production, and also to implement a specila marketing policy in Zheleznogorsk and Krasnoyarsk with the purpose to increase the production and sales volume, improve the quality and competitiveness of manufacture products.

Summary

The main activity of "Furniture factory "Kardinal" Ltd. is production of panel furniture. The enterprise produces kitchen suites, children bedrooms, cabinets, sliding-door wardrobes, hall furniture, TV-tables, office furniture and also different custom-made non-standard models of cabinet furniture. The "price/quality" of the products manufactured by the enterprise is competitive in comparison with other producers of similar products. Consumers of the products are both individuals and various commercial and public enterprises of Zheleznogorsk and Krasnoyarsk. In the framework of the "Kardinal" project it is planed to get a considerable market share of Krasnoyarsk and its nearby regions. As a result of the project implementation it is planned to create 40 jobs, including at least 22 jobs for former weapons specialists.

Cost

Total cost of the project is £348,000. The contribution of DTI is £188,000.

Duration

30 months - from 26 March 2007 till 26 September 2009.
