meeting of existing needs of the regional decorative glass market.
Creation of 36 new jobs, including 20 for former nuclear weapons specialists.
Summary
Makhaon is a Zheleznogorsk company set up in 1999 to manufacturie indoors separations.
The project is aimsto establishment of a production site for manufacturing decorative/ stained
glass. The main objective is to achiere £1M turnover in the first full year of sales in the
eastern and western Siberia. At full capacity, the market potential could reach up to £4M. The
following product range is planned:
stained glass for interior doors and furniture fronts, using technology supplied by the
British company Decorative Resins International;
architectural glass of various specifications;
triplex glass with an inner coloured layer;
thick glass;
picture windows;
Cost
The total cost of the project is £217,988. The contribution requested from DTI is £83,333.
