through existing wholesale centres in Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk.
Gaining 30% of the regional market for bathroom furniture and accessories.
Creation of 35 new jobs including 22 for former nuclear weapons specialists.
Summary
The "Russian Profile" company aims to establishment of a production site for manufacturing bathroom
furniture in Zheleznogorsk. Market research by Russian Profile shows that 95% of the bathroom
furniture and accessories sold in the region stretching from the Urals to the Far East are manufactured
either in European Russia or abroad. Sales analysis carried out by Terem-Opt-Torg a chain of retail
shops, port of the "Russian Profile" group suggests that demand for bathroom furniture and
accessories has grown by 50 % this year as over 2004.
The company is planning to make furniture from high quality components: MDF, or medium density
fiberboard and laminated shaving board produced in Finland and Germany, waterproof mirrors with
facets made in Belgium and Spain, stained glass made in Great Britain, sinks made in Spain, Portugal,
and Bulgaria.
Implementation of the Project will make it possible to establish a stable enterprise in
Zheleznogorsk manufacturing products, for sale across Russia from the Urals to the Far East, craning
jobs for up to 35 people working in favourable conditions.
Cost
The total cost of the project is £167,475. The contribution requested from DTI is £51,858.
