Summary
For the past 9 years, UralPromComplect has been supplying foreign metalworking equipment,
tools and engineering services to the Urals. From the start, the company aimed at the provision
of a complex range of rigs and tools, mainly for metal cutting, to industrial enterprises. Later,
UralPromComplect undertook the supply and maintenance of equipment for metalworking, beginning with
band saws.
Setting up a production facility to manufacture the tools rather than buying them in will allow
UralPromComplect to reduce prices by 30 - 50%. In addition, manufacturing its own range will allow
it to deliver more quickly and efficiently. It will open up new opportunities in the market for
regrinding tools with various and complex profiles. The Company aims to supply 20% of the supplies
market related to high-tech tools marker in the Urals.
The equipment required to set up the new facility will require expert operators, maintenance
technicians and business support staff. UralPromComplect will employ 11 highly skilled former
employees of RFNC-VNIITF to meet this need.
Cost
Total cost of the project is £330,306. The DTI is contributing £185,000.
