Establishment of the comprehensive energy saving technologies centre.
Objectives
To establish in the Business Development Agency - Seversk a centre of energy saving
technologies providing services to increase efficiency of energy resources.
To reach a sales level of £49,570 for 15 months of project implementation.
To create 10 highly qualified jobs including 6 former employees of SCK, Seversk.
Summary
The project will result in the creation of new company in the closed city of Seversk rendering
services in the field of energy saving and effective use of energy. It will contribute to resolving
the challenges particularly with regard to the municipal services in the Russian Federation, and
create additional jobs for highly qualified specialists of nuclear weapon industry.
In order to do this it needs to be registered on a list held by the Russian accreditation authority
who ensure that consultants are qualified (trained), have the right equipment for auditing, and are
certified for safe working in hazardous industrial environments. Key to the success of the project
is ensuring that the company staff have the right qualifications to provide the energy consultancy
services. It was also envisaged that key staff would require some commercial sales and marketing
training to promote the company's services. A potential market for support to commerce and industry
was identified, and in the initial stage the company aims its business at the following customers:
Seversk local government; Seversk energy supplying network companies (electricity, heating and
water supply network); collective householders in Tomsk and Seversk; medium size and small business
of Seversk and Tomsk.
Cost
Total cost of the project is £134,753. The DTI is funding a contribution of £134,753.
