Setting up production of radiation-modified polymer items
Objectives
To set up the manufacture of radiation-modified polymer items.
To reach production output of 20 tons in a year after the project implementation.
To create 28 new jobs in the course of project implementation, including 17 jobs (60%)
designated for the employees released from Federal State Unitary Enterprise Kombinat "MAYAK".
Summary
UPP "Mayak" is engaged in sales of the produce made at Federal Enterprise "Mayak -
thermo-contracting polyethylene pipes (TPP). The technology includes three major stages:
extrusion, radiation modification and orientation. TPP are designated for implementation as a
coating material which has protective, insulation and anticorrosion features. TPP are used to
insulate cable and wire threads, including power ones, cable joins and their braiding, assembly
of cable sleeves, repair of damaged insulation and mantle, and for decorative purposes etc.
TPP are applied in gas-and oil, aerospace, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, and power industries; by transport,
telecommunication, scientific and medical organizations.
